Dustin Oberlander '10

Dustin is a top graduate of the United States Naval Academy with 5 years of experience as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy.

As Office of the Watch/ Engineering Duty Officer, Dustin headed a 10-person team responsible for the operation and maintenance of USS Kentucky’s nuclear power plant during operations surfaced and submerged. He trained and mentored 10 officers and 30 enlisted during engineering qualifications, giving lectures and training on nuclear engineering.

As Officer of the Deck/ Ship's Duty Officer, Dustin led a 34-person team while serving as the Commanding Officer’s direct representative in port and at sea for all operations surfaced and submerged. He was responsible for day-to-day operations and tactical employment of USS Kentucky, its nuclear arsenal, and nuclear reactor.

After completing his military service in 2020, Dustin is pursuing his MBA at the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business.
