Each year, Donald Dion, Jr., a 1972 graduate of St. Dom's, challenges the St. Dom's community to raise funds to assist local families with tuition.  His goal is to help parents provide their children with opportunities to attend the school that launched his successful career in finance.

Don offered a match of $150,000 in 2019.  St. Dom's rose to the challenge and raised $171,874 from April 1 to May 24!  Don fulfilled his commitment and generously gave $150,000 to St. Dom's for tuition assistance, for a total benefit to our families of $321,874!  THANK YOU ALL AND THANK YOU, MR. DION!

After graduating from St. Dom's, Dion earned a bachelor's degree in economics and business administration from St. Michael's College in Vermont before receiving a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maine Law School, and a master's of law degree from Boston University Law School.  He founded Dion Money Management, an investment advisory firm, in 1996; served as the publisher of the Fidelity Independent Advisor; and is the trustee of the Dion Family Foundation, which focuses on helping individuals by offering tuition assistance at Catholic Institutions.

Don attributes much of his success in his career in finance to the education he received at St. Dom's.  "I was fortunate enough to attend St. Dom's," said Dion.  "Along with the rigorous academics, I learned to work hard, reach for my goals, and value service to others.  I would like to ensure more students are afforded the opportunity of a faith-based college preparatory education."

Don welcomes a conversation with St. Dom's supporters.  He may be reached at or (413) 281-8341.  For information on how you can support St. Dom's, contact Deb Thibodeau Anthoine '87, Director of Advancement at or 207-782-6911 ext. 1115.
