July 22, 2020 Update:

The Maine Principals' Association (MPA) informed us that at the recommendation of their Sports Medicine Committee, the MPA's Interscholastic Management Committee voted to delay the start of the fall sports season until Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  This move is intended to allow school districts time to work on their Return to School Plan without the worry of starting fall sports.

The good news for St. Dom's is that we will be able to keep our high school students active by continuing our voluntary summer workouts for all of our programs that we are currently offering right through August 23rd.  From August 24th through September 7th, we will be able to offer voluntary high school fall sports conditioning with the first official fall sports practices beginning on September 8th.  As of this date, the MPA has designated September 18th as the first possible date for countable contests for fall sports.  We will share further details as they become available.

In the event that public schools cancel or delay their fall season, it does not necessarily mean that we will cancel ours.  As a small Catholic school, we seem to be in a better position to operate safely within State guidance than large public schools.  Academically and athletically, we are committed to providing our students with the safest and best in-person educational experience possible.
